Every missing person deserves to be remembered.
Every family deserves to know that someone is still looking.
That is why we created Operation Safe Return, a community-funded initiative dedicated to placing digital billboards featuring missing Alabamians in the places where they are most likely to be seen. These billboards keep faces and stories in front of thousands of people long after media coverage has ended.
Since launching Operation Safe Return, Alabama Cold Case Advocacy has placed 16 billboards across Alabama and the surrounding region, helping bring missing persons and unsolved cases to the attention of countless travelers and communities.
Of those, 11 billboards have been funded directly through Operation Safe Return. The remaining placements were made possible through the generosity of our billboard partners, allowing us to stretch every donated dollar even further.
Each billboard represents more than a photograph on a screen.
It represents hope.
It represents a family that refuses to give up.
It represents another opportunity for someone to recognize a face, remember a detail, or come forward with information that could move a case forward.
We have seen firsthand how powerful public awareness can be. A single billboard campaign can generate thousands of impressions every day, reaching commuters, visitors, truck drivers, and travelers who may hold the one piece of information investigators need.
Unfortunately, the requests continue to grow.
Law enforcement agencies and families across Alabama are asking for additional billboard placements, but our ability to say βyesβ depends entirely on the generosity of people who believe these stories deserve to be seen.
Every contribution helps.
Whether you give $1, 10, $25, $50, or more, your donation helps fund future billboard campaigns, keeps missing persons in the public eye, and reminds families that they are not facing this journey alone.
When you support Operation Safe Return, you are doing more than funding a billboard.
You are helping keep hope alive.
You are helping ensure these cases are not forgotten.
You are helping light the way home.
If you believe every missing person deserves another chance to be seen, we invite you to join us.
Together, we can continue bringing faces back into view, generating new leads, and reminding families across Alabama that their loved ones have not been forgotten.
Thank you for standing with us.
Thank you for believing that awareness matters.
Thank you for helping us bring them home.
Donate today and help us fund the next Operation Safe Return billboard.
